part of Reconfigured Chairs

ceramics
39 x 39 x 60cm

The salt contained in the raw clay was permeated to the other bisque-fired piece, leaving a round mark resembling the stain on an old chair seat. Moisture evaporated over time, but the presence of minerals contained in the clay when it was wet left the traces. Also, it retains the marks of fingers generated on the surface while being moved and touched.

In the world of matter, time enables formation and dissipation simultaneously. This work is an attempt to comprehend the notion of time through the language of matter, focusing on impermanence, dissipation, and the traces left after.
